He kicked her in the side. "Good" he grabbed his coat. "I'm going out." he left.

Bailey grabbed her side when he kicked her and pulled herself over to the couch. She lay there for a while before she stood up and went to check herself in the bathroom mirror. Her face had bruised and her side was starting to.
Edward came back to Adam's apartment shortly after that, "Adam? Bailes?"
Bailey walked out of the bathroom and into the living room where Edward was, "Hey." She sighed, looking at the ground.

Edward looked at Emmett and then walked over to Bailey, "What happened? Does Adam know?"
Bailey sighed, shaking her head, "Some guy tried to rub me today..he got the shit beat out of him but so did I.."

"I know..but our dad had an abusive side as well and the doctors always told us that there was a chance that we could turn out that way too. My mom always said it would be Adam and we all thought so when he was a kid, he was very destructive." He sighed a little, "But we're never gonna get her to tell us that. I'm here for another week or two so I'll watch out for her for now but after that I don't know what we can do. She lives with him so its gonna be hard."
