Some random house : Lexie and _____ had been best friends forever. They were neighbors. Then in their junior year of high school, they began dating and were inseparable. In the summer before college, they feared having to leave each other, but they always knew they'd find their way back to each other. But before they left, they had a bad break up, and haven't seen each other since. They're finally back in town during their Christmas break of their senior year. Will old flames rekindle?

Brody had just arrived back at his mom's house. He parked his truck in the driveway and grabbed his bags, carrying them inside. He was greeted at the door by his mom, who waited for him to set his bags down before hugging him.

Brody saw Lexie's car when he turned around to shut the door. He watched her get out and go inside, then shut the door. They hadn't spoken in years, and she hadn't noticed him. He took his stuff upstairs to unpack.

Lexie didn't see her dad so she went up to her old room, looking around. She saw old pictures of her and Brody and wondered how he was. She continued looking for her dad and found him in the garage, fixing up some old car.

After Brody was finished, he went back downstairs to catch up with his mom. She was going to Mr. Carmichael's Christmas party, and she invited him. She expected him to go because she knew he didn't have other plans.

Lexie's dad got out from under the car and hugged her. She sat on the work bench and watched him, and they caught up since they last talked, a few weeks ago. He was throwing the annual Carmichael party, even though Mrs. Carmichael passed away 3 years ago from cancer. They continued the tradition, in honor of her.

After spending some time with his mom and agreeing to go to the party, Brody left to go see some old friends who were also back in town. He texted them as he walked outside to his truck.

Tim was wearing jeans and a long sleeve dress shirt from American Eagle. His mom came downstairs, and they walked next door to Lexie's house. His mom rang the doorbell, and then they waited. They were one of the first ones there.
