"Jeez, Haley!! What happened to you?! You can't blame all of this on me. I tried to talk to you, but you didn't want to talk to me. So don't do that." He heard the door slam and then saw Kevelyn walk past the bedroom door. "I'm sorry, Kev. I guess friendship isn't something Haley and I can have. And, I'm sorry. That I was married to Haley before I came to California was something I didn't tell anyone. I left that life behind me. Or at least I thought I could."
Kevelyn walked over to him and kissed him on his head. "Don't worry, Nate. I don't care who or what life you lived before. The only thing that matters is that you and I are together. Always and forever." Always and forever - my ass.
Nathan winced at the' always and forever' part. That had been supposed to apply to him and Haley.

Haley looked at Nathan "You are what happened to me Nathan! This is all your fault Nathan..you remarried me after I came home from the tour in high school only to ask for a damn divorce before graduation! Don't do what? I can do what the hell I want! And if I call Dan or Deb right now they will let me and natalie stay here so don't start your mouth telling me to leave or your girlfriend bossing me around here either!" Haley looked at Kevelyn when she walked in the bedroom "Yeah I guess friendship isn't something we can have. And I guess our marriage either time..first or second time didn't mean a damn thing to you then if you tried to leave that life behind that. That's great to know that I didn't mean more than that to you!" Haley stood there looking at Nathan and then looked at Natalie and then heard Kevelyn say Always and forever to Nathan. She sighed a little and felt tears in her eyes and looked at Nathan and Kevelyn and felt the tears start down her cheeks. She picked Natalie up and turned towards the door so Nathan wouldn't see her crying.

"You know what? I didn't see you pick up the phone once the last five years! You could have called! And sure, call Dan or Deb. We don't need to stay here. And don't you ever talk to Kevelyn like that ever again.!" Nathan felt the anger rise in him again. He hated fighting with Haley, he'd always have, but she had changed, and he didn't know why.

"The phone line goes two ways Nathan..you didn't call over the last five years either. Probably too busy screwing Kevelyn and the lakers cheerleaders! I know I could have called and I wanted to alot the first year after our divorce! I had something to tell you then but I was too scared to call you and hear your voice Nathan. Maybe I will call Dan or Deb..I have kept in touch with them alot the last five years. Even been to visit them and Natalie loves them! I can talk to Kevelyn however the hell I want and tell her not to call me little miss perfect and boss me around then Nathan!" Haley looked at Nathan as tears fell down her cheeks. She wiped her cheeks. Then she looked at Kevelyn "And bitch quit using always and forever when talking to Nathan.."

Kevelyn held up her hands in defence. "Whoa there, you need to calm down there. You better leave now, not because we are telling you to, but because I think you're starting to scare your daughter."
Nathan looked at Haley. "I did call Haley. But you didn't answer, so I guess you were the one out screwing guys." He nodded at Natalie, even though he didn't like that she'd have to witness their fight.

Haley sighed and looked at Kevelyn "First of all don't tell me to calm down. And I don't have to leave so don't tell me what to do and nath..i mean my daughter is fine.." Haley looked at Nathan "When did you call then? Just once or what? And I wasn't out screwing guys..so don't even start that shit with me." Natalie looked at Nathan and smiled a little

"Well, I'm not the one with a daughter as a proof. So I guess you're the one giving me the shit, Haley." He walked into the bathroom next to the bedroom. He didn't want to continue this fight. It couldn't lead to anything good anyway.
Kevelyn crossed her arms over her chest and smiled mockingly at Haley.

Haley looked at Nathan and was glad Nathan or Kevelyn didn't hear her almost say Nathan's daughter before she said my daughter is fine. "You don't even know anything about my daughter's father and I wasn't out screwing guys but think what the hell you want then! Just know something not a day went by that I didn't want to pick up the phone and call you cause I still loved you and still do!" She yelled for Nathan to heard when he went in the bathroom. Then she looked at Kevelyn "You are such a bitch.."

Nathan opened the door. "You still love me?! What a joke!" He looked at her. "If that was true, you wouldn't be with Caleb, and you wouldn't have a daughter with another man!"

Haley looked at Nathan when he opened the door "Yes I still love you but you don't love me anymore since you divorced me and you are dating Kevelyn now." Haley rolled her eyes "I am with Caleb cause I had to move on..I couldn't be alone or raise ou..my daughter alone!" Haley said realizing she almost said our daughter to Nathan and not sure if he heard that or not. She kinda hoped he did.
Haley looked at Kevelyn "Yes you are a bitch!"

"You know what Haley? I'm not having this conversation right now. Can we please just all calm down and we can talk some other time. I am really tired right now. I'm going to bed." He closed the door and sat down with his back against the door. Hearing Haley say that she still loved him made him get a feeling of guilt inside. He realized he loved her too, but he was with Kevelyn now, and she was with Caleb. And, she had Natalie.

Haley saw him close the bathroom door as she stood by the door of the bedroom and looked at Kevelyn on the bed. "Fine Nathan..don't have this conversation right now. Maybe you should tell our daughter bye then!" She yelled loud enough for Nathan to hear as she held Natalie

Haley heard Nathan say what and heard Kevelyn and stood there holding Natalie "I said don't have this conservation but you should tell our daughter bye then Nathan!" She yelled at him

Nathan stood up slowly. Opening the door even more slowly. He looked at Haley and Natalie. "What do you mean' our daughter'?" It was only a whisper, but the room was so quiet he knew that they heard him.

Nathan's mouth didn't do anything. He stood there paralized by the shock. He looked at Natalie and the Haley, back and forth. That's why she'd been so familiar to him. He hadn't seen her before but he'd seen her. In the mirror everyday.

Haley looked at him..this wasn't exactly the way she wanted to tell Nathan about Natalie. Haley sighed when Nathan didn't say anything to her or Natalie. She just looked at him and then Kevelyn. And then she turned and walked out of the bedroom and started down the stairs and out of the beachouse and sat on the steps of it with Natalie

Nathan didn't know what to do. He walked over to the bed and sat down with his head in his hands.
Kevelyn walked out of the room and then out of the beach house where she saw Natalie and Haley on the stairs. "Natalie, sweetie, could you go play down by the beach? I need to talk to your mom."
