The Plot

Isabella and Jai have been friends forever, ever since they where in diapers. Everyone always expected them to be together for the rest of their lives, they have never really dated but always been the best of friends. They have grown to love and care for each other greatly. But in the end they ended up going there separate ways. When Isabella went home to visit her family in Ireland and her daughter, Maya's father. Jai finds himself falling for Nina. Nina is a wonderful woman that everyone loves and adores, even Isabella knows that she is great for Jai and respects his wishes to want to marry Nina. After their wedding she takes Maya, who has become like a daughter to Jai, and runs for it fleeing to the little town of Riverside hopping to put her life in Iowa behind her, only to find out she is pregnant with Jai's children and they are Twins!

Jai was recently married a woman who he felt madly in love with. It had been a month and a half since the two returned from their honeymoon and unfortunately now Jai had to go away to the town of Riverside for business. Jai arrived in the small town of Riverside early in the morning and now all he wanted to do was go back to his hotel and sleep until he had to go attend a meeting. Before he went up to his room he had to check in and as he waited in the line of the check in desk he glanced over and thought he saw someone he knew but just brushed it off, but he continued to glance over looking at the familiar figure from a distant

Bella was in the hotel lobby, taking care of some business. She was pushing a stroller with two toddlers in it. Maya was in a seat reading a book.

Jai continued to “ignore” the familiar figure and it threw him off when he saw the baby stroller, he didn’t know anyone with twins Jai simply shrugged it off until he heard a familiar voice to go along with the familiar figure. Turning his head he saw the person who he hadn’t seen in a long time and he regretted for letting her go, his best friend Bella. Jai’s face instantly lit up as he exited the line and started towards her. “Holy shit, Bella Swan, right in front of my eyes”

Bella looked up when she heard a fimiliar voice. When she sw Jai her heart skipped a beat, "Hey jai. What are you doing here?" She smiled slightly, looking down at the twins. Maya stood to her feet and ran to where Jai was, "Hey.."

Jai didn’t even notice the twin in the carriage to the side of Bella all he noticed was Bella. “I am here for some business stuff, boring, what are you doing here?” he asked. As he noticed a little girl standing by him. “Oh god this is Maya is it” he exclaimed as he knelt down and looked at her. “Wow you got so big since the last time I saw you” Jai spoke with shock as he felt like he hadn’t seen Bella or Maya in years, had it been that long?

Maya grinned, hugging him, "Hey Jai.."

Bella smiled, "Taking care of some business myself. I can't believe you here. Where's Nina?"

[jackie]

It felt really good to see Bella and Maya and Jai was happy when Maya remembered him and gave him a hug. “God I remember when you where just a tiny baby” he said as he embraced Maya in a warm hug and then stood up. Finally he caught a glimpse of the babies but chose to wait to bring up the subject. “Nina is at home she couldn’t get the time off from work and besides if she came she would be bored to death here, I know I am going to be but maybe not now since you are here.” Jai flashed a smile and then one of the twins started to cry. “So ummm when did these two come along” Jai asked curiously as he watched Maya climb back upon the chair.

Bella watched Maya and then picked up the twin that was crying. "Two years and 6 months ago.." She smiled some. Both twins had brown hair and blue eyes. Jai's hair and Bella's eyes. She got the one calm and held her for a few more minutes, "This is Hayley and the other one's Harley." She put Hayley back in the stroller, "Harley's the mellow one."

Jai scratched his head as he watched Bella pick up the crying baby. “Wow it has been THAT long since I last saw you, damn” he said almost in a whisper, kind of ashamed for losing contact with his best friend. Jai listened as Bella explained what the babies where names. Jai was tempted to ask where the father was but he bite his tongue and nodded his head. “They are beautiful just like their mom” he said as he looked from the babies in the carriage to Bella.

Bella smiled, "thanks but they look like thier dad too..." she trailed off and after that she got quiet.

Jai looked at the babies again. “Really and where is this father you talk about, is he with you?” he asked. Jai didn’t want to pry into her business yet he was so curious as to who the father was and if she was with him. Although Jai was married he still had feelings for his best friend that he has known forever.

Bella shook her head, "He's not around. He left right after I found out. It wasn't a surprise though. Maya didn't like him and you know when she doesn't like a person something's up. She's too much like her mother" She turned to look at Maya, a mirror of her mother just a little shorter.

[jackie]

As he heard her tell him how the father left Jai shook his head. “I am sorry Bella he is a asshole for leaving you and these beautiful children behind but if you say Maya didn’t like him then he was defiantly an asshole because Maya has good taste” He flashed a smile and then looked down. “So we lost contact over the last couple of year Bella…” he said as his voice trailed off. It wasn’t just one of their faults both kind of drifted apart but since they stopped talking to each other Jai did often wander how she was and where she was.

Bella nodded and sighed, "I know but with youmaryingNina I just thought it was best for me to back off. Let you be happy."

“Bella, you know I was happy with you in my life and when I was marrying Nina and all that happened I wanted you to be there but you disappeared.” Jai paused. “I mean do you think I forgot about you, because I didn’t”

[rawrr ;]]

"You should have you married another woman when you had one all along." She sighed. That was really the first time she had admitted to having feelings for him. She shook her head, "Don't worry about it Jai. We'll always be friends."

[jackie]

When he heard he say the thing about marrying another women when he had one all along he was taken back a little “Bells what is that suppose to mean?” he glanced at her. Jai was so confused at that point, here he was in front of his best friend and she was saying things that he wasn’t sure what they meant. He kind of got the idea but he wasn’t sure if he could believe it. Bella couldn’t have feeling for him, could she?

Bella shook her head, "nothing." then she looked up at him, finally wanting to tel him how she felt, just by the look on his face, "I've loved you for as long as I can remember. I know we've always been friends and that's why I never said anything. You always seemed like you were happy with our relationship being as it was, us just friends. Which you made quite clear when you got with Nina, proposed to Nina and then married Nina. I don't want to get in the way of that. You seem happy. That's why I left and stopped contacting you."

Jai listened to Bella as at first she said it was nothing then she started to talk and it was exactly what he thought she was going to say. “Bells….” he said softly as he let it wash over him. “We tried to be together do you remember that night, before Nina and before you went away.” Jai continued as he shook his head. “I married Nina because I thought that we were never going to happen, you know Bells I had feelings for you, I still do!” he exclaimed as he realized what he said a few moments ago about the night he spent with her. “Holy shit..” he said quietly as he realized. “They are mine….”

Bella sighed, looking at the twins, a tear falling from her eye. She looked up at Jai, nodding. She couldn't bring herself to say anything. The night they spent together was amazing but Jai was half drunk when it happened. She didn't think he really had feelings for her, she just thought it happened because he was drunk.
